My Name Custom Type

Custom Type

For this project I needed to Make my name connect. I thought it would look interesting if I made it look like they hooked together. To do this I mad the "Katie" go in a downward diagonal and connected the "T" to the "C", the "I" to the "R", and the "E" to the "A". I was very happy with the way it turned out. If I could do it again or if I had more time I would probably adjust the type and see if there was another way to connect the letters.

Forever Strong Movie Poster

Type

For this project I needed to use a custom font for the title. When I saw this tutorial I knew that it would fit very well with the plot of the movie. Throughout the movie Rick (The Main Character) struggles with making up his mind of who he wants to be. His mind is scrambled just like the font.

Image

I used the image of Rick kneeling because it shows how he is tired of people telling him who to be. I chose to make his body only a few colors so you wouldn't the viewer would not be able to see the way he is feeling. I wanted the image to show two different sides of him and I think it did that.

Quote

The quote I chose is in the movie "Forever Strong" I really like this quote because it gives a hint of what the movie is all about. It shows that Highland Rugby changed his life.

Saul Bass

I made this poster with the Saul Bass style in mind. I wanted it to show simplicity with parts that were complicated all while telling the story of the movie. I wanted every individual part of the poster to mean something and I feel like I did that.
